REVIEW - [JOLSE] andLAB Xylitol Mild Sun Cushion SPF50+ PA+++

REVIEW

What is Xylitol? (not the ones we see and use in sweeteners)
Xylitol is used in cosmetics and personal care products not only as a flavoring agent in oral care products - which also utilize its plaque-reducing properties - but also as a humectant in other formulations. It is thought to help the skin retain its natural moisture and boost levels of hyaluronic acid, a natural lubricant that assists in collagen production. Xylitol is also thought to improve the skin's barrier function and increase ceramide (a natural hydrating compound) synthesis. (source)

  • Mild and non-drying
  • Has a mild sunscreen scent
  • Gives a demi-matte finish
CONS:
  • Has high amount of Octinoxate and alcohol

  • Bulky packaging
This product has a combination of both physical and chemical sunscreen ingredients such as Octinoxate, Avobenzone, Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. You can read all about "Physical and Chemical" sunscreens on this link.

To be honest, at first I am loving this sunscreen because it is mild (as I have sensitive skin) and gives a cooling effect, but then after using it for a week, I noticed that there's been some bumps that appeared on my forehead and near my temples. I haven't used any new product aside from this. The white cast it gives is a major turn off for me, as I looked liked I applied a thick white powder all over my face.

Overall, this is a decent sunscreen but as much as I want to love this it just didn't worked well on my skin. But I do love the concept of it on a cushion. I hope they will reformulate this and make it more of a physical sunscreen and removing the chemical (octinoxate and avobenzone) ingredients.

REVIEW - TIA'M My Signature Red C Serum

REVIEW TI'AM My Signature Red C Serum INGREDIENTS:   BENEFITS: TEXTURE and SCENT: Has a liquid-gel-like texture but gets easily absorbed once applied on the skin. smelled  like Vitamin C syrup that I used to take when I was a kid. MY THOUGHTS: 1st week Mixed with Klairs Vitamin E mask for 3 days to avoid irritations (for sensitive skin like me) On the 6th day skin started to exfoliate (noticeably in chin and cerners of my nose) No drastic change skin feels a bit tight and dry. 2nd Week dryness and tightness of skin continued especially on the chin and nose area. Prominent pores lessened as well. Had 1 small acne that healed in 2 days. 3rd Week Dryness and tightness lessened. Removed some black and whiteheads in the corners if my nose. Noticed that skin looks evenly toned. 4th Week A little dry only in the corners of my nose. Skin looks clear and bright. I guess, the outline says it all. But to be hone...

REVIEW - Goodal Double Bright (Toner, Emulsion and Intense Serum)

REVIEW Goodal Double Bright Collection Whitening VS Brightening Whitening is reducing pigmentation while Brightening is increasing radiance and glow of skin. Wightening has to do with lightening the color of the skin. Brightening is more about restoring vibrancy to the skin. Double Bright Collection focuses on brightening the skin with pure fermentation of Paeonia Japonica (Peony) and Platol-White C . Definition of Terms: *Fermentation -  is a natural process in which yeast secretes enzymes that are beneficial to the human body. REVIEW - Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Primer, Foundation and Freestyle Highlighter

FENTY BEAUTY by RIHANNA (PS. long post) It has been a long time coming. Now it's here! Behold! FENTY BEAUTY, the new makeup line created by the pop icon Rihanna . Luckily, it was launched here in Dubai on a Friday (it means, I'm on a day off. Hurray!) So, when I saw that it will launch at 10am, I set my alarm to be able to go to Sephora Dubai Mall by the said time. Now, as I set foot to Sephora quite few people are clumping up to the Fenty Beauty counter. As I check the counter my initial reaction was "OMG!" with heavy breathing.  And so, I ask an employee (Mr. Dee Jay) to help me find my shade on the foundation and other things. I also  had a make over (thanks to Mr. Narciso) with the products that I bought  and below are the items I grabbed and my initial review. To know more about it, continue reading... 1. Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer (Soft Matte) Price: 150 AED Clamis: smooth pore-diffusing extended m...
